A graduate of Imperial College London, Edesiri Onatejiroghene Ibru is the daughter of Nigerian entrepreneur Chief Michael Ibru. A talented business executive in her own right, Edesiri Onatejiroghene Ibru works as a corporate finance analyst with Midwestern Oil and Gas Limited, a Nigerian energy company that maintains its corporate social responsibilities through dedicated health and education programs.
As part of its Community Health Care initiative, Midwestern Oil and Gas Limited has built four apartments for workers at Ogbeani Community Health Centre. The company also has built the Kwale Central Hospital maternity ward and a modern health center to benefit members of the Umusadege community.
Midwestern Oil believes in doing everything it can to unlock the potential in Nigeria’s young people, which has led the company to award 37 scholarships in post-primary and post-secondary education since 2006. Further, Midwestern Oil has acquired 4,000 notebooks for students in its host communities and built classroom blocks in both the Ogbeani and Umusadege communities.
